metro film fest

my opionion:

I think making the Metro Filmfest best picture based on boxoffice gross is counter productive to the movie industry. I'm a movie fan , and the Filmfest is the only venue here where "new" or experimental films for our taste get to go mainstream. Movies having "alternative" story lines gets to have a mainstream venue some maybe good, some suck, but at least innovation and experimentation happens. This time a lot stayed with the proven formulas which I think is why the movie industry here is in a super slum in the first place. Instead of someone suddenly coming up with something so new and provocative that its gonna blow our minds, tried and tested formulas where used and if this goes on people would start throwing up from seeing the same thing over and over again.
