Blind Date Tips

Matagal ko na dapat popost to, di ko lang napapanahunan dahil nagkaproblema ang internet sa SEAsia during the holidays. A month or so ago nagblog ako tungkol dun sa girl na gustong ipakilala ng dad ko , apparently nakilala nya sa bank . Dahil parang nagandandahan sya , bigla nya ngayon pinakausap sa akin sa cell.. well read the blog na lang.. so fast forward to the week after Christmas, nasa Delmonte ako and having some stuff installed in my car. Naisip ko taga Del monte yung girl na pinakilala sa akin , maybe its a good idea to try to meet up with her para makita ko naman. Every now and then I would text her yet fail to get her to meet up. Sabi ko, this would be easier on her, malapit sa place nya so homecourt, then I decided to ask her out just for coffee kasi magpapacarwash ako near the coffee place. Nung tinext ko sabi nya she's in a family gathering thing, birthday daw mom nya.. tapos bigla ako me nakuhang text na sabi nya "Best, busy ka ba, samahan mo naman ako at nagyaya si david" ... well I didnt make a fuss out of it,siguro mahiyain sya and stuff. niloko na lang.. "naku best sorry hehehe"

She apologized, niloko ko pa ng konti.. in short di pa rin kami nagmeet, which was just fine, suntok lang naman sa buwan eh. Pero What I think she didnt realize is , professional blind dater ini. And meeting up with her that I setup was very casual. The place I chose was a tricycles distance from her home so me homecourt advantage sya, I only aske dher for coffee so mabilis lang in and out date, plus hapon pa. Anyway here are my tips for blind dates , plus some new stuff I learned from Seinfeld:

1. The best ang lunch or coffee for blind dates, para mabilis lang at me time limit..if you like how the date is going you could always ask again for a 2nd one.

2. Movies are also fine kasi you share something in common so me mapagkwekwentuhan kayo.

3. Dont take it too seriously..blind date palang.. meaning dont fret na hindi mo sya ma impress because it stops you from being you.

4. This I learned from Seinfeld, that in dating there are 2 sides, one is the Group Persona and the other is the solo persona. So Its always good to know your date how he/she is in a group and how he/she is by his lonesome. Kung di ka ganon ka confident na kaya mo magsolo or carry on a conversation with a stranger, go for group first and make sure ang kasama mo eh wingman mo..tipong a friend who will set you up in conversations para ikaw na lang magdedeliver ng punchline. A person dating as said by George in Seinfeld changes when he is in a group so its always nice to show both sides.

5. This is kinda rude, pero its nice to have a backup plan, specially for girls if your date kinda turns out to be an asshole,tipong mahilig machancing and stuff.. use the old fasion biglang me nagtext or call routine, then get one of your friends to pick you up sabihin mo pinsan mo or tito.
