Goodluck jonjon, hope you will be alright

To my officemates reading this blog, NO i am not talking about Jonjon A.

I received badnews last saturday. It wasnt a good way to start the year. At the place where I volunteer to teach, they told me one of the kids has runaway. It was jonjon. Man nagulat ako, we teach 2 classes every saturday and jonjon was kinda like the brightest of the 2nd class. medyo makulit but still in line. He showed the most potential among the 2nd class. Showed signs of logic and reasoning.

The problem was that the children we teach at the orphanage are kids who are victims of abuse. So they can easily snap at an instant, mag rebelde sa mundo. It shows in most of them. How they lack in self esteem and a real aversion to failure. A sort of , ayaw na lang ako kaysa pumalpak. A quitter attitude.

Ginawa ko attendance when the admin guy told me, dont do a scorecard for jonjon he said, he ran away. I asked him, why, he said that he couldnt admit to his faults and would revel whenever he gets scolded. He was making trouble at his "home" and started to get physical. Susmeh , Physical, and yet nung tinuturan namin ok naman, receptive. Siguro like I said, because of the trauma he could snap instantly. The admin guy told me he esacped from his home and they have no clue now where he is. He said, the bad part is he might be with street friends. If he is lucky, he could be with his relatives. But if he goes to his street friends, drugs would be a big possibility. Sayang. I can only with the best for him.
