Movie Review: Co Ed Scandal

Ill be doing this review from a Guys perpective.

Sa guys , ano masasabi ko..winner to. I saw the original scandal video which this was based on. I think it was titled "La Salle Scandal" but some say it was another university.. anyway its ok as long as its not "Don Bosco Scandal" . They even used the same names.. "Leo" and "Babe" . Who couldnt forget the shout from the original scandal movie "Tangina mo leo!" while the 2 girls were making out. Making out of course is an understatement.

Definitely nudity and sex scenes... winner, mostly breast exposure from Jennifer Lee , who looks like a better version of Maui Taylor, and Avi Siwa. Para sa girls me konting butt exposure yung guy sa movie. At of course aside from the usual love scenes nung guy at ni Jennifer Lee, meron winner Makeout scene si Avi Siwa at Jennifer Lee.

I actually bought this movie together with some other indie movies, at take note ORIGINAL ang binili ko ah, VCD nga lang para mas mura. I wanted to see this movie coz I saw Avi Siwa sa Greenbelt, na naka plunging neckline lagpas pusod...medyo nashock at natulala ako nung napadaan sya. OK on with the review.

The movie not only had the nude and sex scenes to offer but had a good story as well.. Yes mga dude hindi ko finorward forward habang pinapanood ko to, talagang pinanood ko in its entirety. Actually maganda nga di malayo ang story nito compared sa other movies shown.

The movie is centered around the stories of the lives involved in the Video Scandal which accidentally got out and got circulated in the black market. Leo and his girlfriend are film students or mass comm students. Leo have been filming all sorts of stuff and has a fetish for porno movies. It then became his obsession to film himself and his girlfriend having sex. His girlfriend have been getting curious on how it was to makeout with a girl and have been obsessing on girl on girl porno as well. Avi Siwa is a bisexual model who have been getting hit on by agents and directors promising her startdom for sex. Avi was sexually active as she even had sex with Leo during a filming of Leo's assignment. Si Jennifer Lee naman has a crush on Avi and has been lusting over her as well. There is also a side story of Jennifers stalker classmate who follows her around everywhere.

Leo finally got his wish and was able to film him and Jennifer Lee having sex, and also Avi and Jennifer Having Sex as well. The problem is a friend of his accidentally got hold of his movie , and got accidentally passed on to another, and the rest is history. The movie concentrated on the hardships of the persons involved. Leo had a phase where he got nuts and refused to go out of his room for 2 weeks in shame. He was later dragged by men from the Mental Hospital. Jennifer moved to Hongkong to escape everything as she couldnt deal with the shame of it all, Avi tried to ride it out and made a movie out of the whole thing . Jennifers Stalker followed her all the way to Hongkong , and they ended up together. The best part of the movie aside from the nude scenes is when Leo stole a bag of CD's from Quiapo containing their scandal video, He was cornered and was gonna beaten up when one of the vendors recognized him as the Scandal Guy...sabi nya "Ikaw to ah!..IDOL!!!! si Idol pala to eh!!!" then he got away giving autographs. That was pretty funny. Like most indie film, the movie could do with more editing and a faster pace though. The director also experimented on using a voyeurist like camera angle , as if peeking thru a hole. Acting wasnt that good, but wasnt that bad either. All in all , It was worth my P200 bucks. This definitely was a step forward in Philippine Cinema, although not leaps and bounds, its a stepforward in my book. Wish ko lang makasalubong ko uli si Avi Siwa sa Greenbelt.
