Bakit Ganun?

For some reason I've been meeting women and even old friends who are a bit down on their luck on their men or at least have been wanting more from they're partners lately. Di ko alam kung trend ba to, or baka generation gap or baka dahil madalas girls ang barkada ko lately eh nagiging mas sensitive ako? hmmmm.

Nasabi kong generation gap kasi , believe it or not eh me konting latay parin ako in chivalry, and nung time na may relationship ako (hopefully my ex's could attest) I do my best para alagaan sila.. Meron akong friend, maganda, talented, ang BF nya to put it shallowly eh mas maganda sya , pero syempre mas mature naman siguro ang judgement ng friend ko(ill go back to this point in a minute). Nirereklamo nya na her BF doesnt spent time with her.. parang hindi sya prioritize enough.. kinuwento naman sa akin nung friend ko ang frequency ng pagkikita nila.. hindi naman sa point na nakaksakal, actually normal lang and parang not as often in my book. Tapos nirereklamo nya na di daw sila nagkikita , so sabi ko.. eh di paputnahin mo sa yo..ang friend ko eh reluctant kasi baka busy daw and stuff.. so I go back to my initial ideal setup na noong I was in relationships eh pag pinapunta ako ng gf ko eh sorry punta ako.. unless somewhere terribly important eh I have to find time. Plus , from my previous point earlier, from a shallow point of view, ganon kaganda na gf eh di dapat dinidiprioritize lalo nat di naman kagwapuhan ng husto yung guy. Don't get me wrong , ala akong masamang balak dun sa friend ko hehehe.

And the sad part is .. my friend did. I keep telling her , if he wants to see you he will go to you.. pero medyo di pa nag sink in sa friend ko hanggang ngayon..

Well I just pray for the happiness of my friends.

Noontime shows

Its a national past time.

7. Pilit paperformin ang older generation sa newer generation ... eto madalas to sa ASAP , yung kakanta sila kuh at zsa zsa with matching outfits with the new singers and performers.. eh hello naman ibang level na ngayon dapat ang singers at performers.. ngayon tumatumbling tumbling ang mga artista pag sumasayaw.. pagbumirit ..birit with matching lively showmanship.. most of the stars before doesnt do that stuff.. dati kasi kakaunti lang ang stars..ngayon sobrang dami kaya ibang level.. makikita mo mega showmanship mga new singers tapos dyadyan pasok ang older singers.. biglang drop ng energy level..tapos ang outfit naman pa ni zsa zsa at kuh.. umiinit palagi ang ulo ngmga tita ko pag nakikita. Sana hiwalay na segmetns naman.

sasbagay.. infairness marami na ring improvements ang noontime shows.. gaya ng mga magaling sumayaw lang talga ang pinasasayaw as much as possible .. wala ng mga bellstar numbers na panay buhat lang ang ginagawa. Marami ng live numbers. At syempre nagpagsasama family sa lunch table para manlait man or magenjoy.

Improv Theater - SPIT

I was looking at different websites of bars trying to see gigs of bands. I went to the Mag:net website, Mag:net is a bar in Katipunan who shows bands, indie movies, art exhibits etc and has a new branch at the Global City High Street area, looking at the gigs I chanced upon a gig by SPIT(Silly People's Improv Theater). Improv?! first time I saw an improv show in the Philippines. I love watching that show , whose line is it anyway by Drew Carry, sobrang laugh trip tsaka idol ko sa bilis magisip. Anyway, I didnt pass the chance to see an improv show here specially because the place was so near my office.

Entrance was P200 each , with one free beer or ice tea. The place was cool, at the back of nike , it had magazines for sale, artworks hanging (im not sure if its for sale) and food and drinks was around 100-300 each kaso badtrip walang cheese sticks, Wine and cheese stick lang naman ang habol ko.. wala pa.

Anyway the show starts at around 930-10pm , I think its every tuesday but it could be just for june. We got there late , show has already started. There were around 10 men and women on stage, I think I've seen some of them in movies or plays tapos yung isa sa kanila umalis sandali, then the audience gave 5 uncommon words to the rest of the troupe. Pagbalik nung lalaki, pinahulaan sa kanya ang 5 words pero it has to be done via song which normally had to rhyme. As usual nakalimutan ko naa ng details, pero words that I rememberd where Atrium, Hologram, Seduction and Apathy. Yung isang part naman, mag jojoke sila parang bulagaan.. like "Anung hayop ang palaging bumabagsak" parang ganon (Ans:Dog!), pero the audience would give the category, ang binigay na category - Countries , Bar Drinks and Teen Pop stars. Another segment is another guys goes out and when he comes back he is to take the troupe hostage , the crowd has to provide what's the guys weapon, transpo and cause. The guy has to guess the stuff the crowd provided with the help of the hostage. There also a portion where they pretend to be a 3 headed fortune teller and had to speak one of the other one word each. They had to answer questions from the crowd.

Overall it was a funny evening and I enjoyed the whole show. There were some really witty remarks thrown out that night which brought the house down. Its nice to see comedy not resorting to defamation rin.. I guess pa-evolve na ng paevolve tayo, I bet pag nagclick ang SPIT may gagaya sa other comedy bars ng ganun, na hindi na magreresort sa panlalalit para magpatawa. Nothing like money to motivate change. Anyway more power pa sa SPIT and sana marami pang gaya nila ang lumabas.

Warehouse 135

I checked out this place hidden in makati which is supposedly the underground version of Embassy. Embassy is this posh and popular club in the fort where the popular and wealthy go to party. Music is house or RNB. I saw this place from a blog, Warehouse 135 in Yakal st. who supposedly do parties for those who know. If you've been towed in Makati, its right beside the impounding area. Yakal is a sleepy street at the back of the Makati fire station near Topaz. I guess for guys I just gave the best landmark.. Topaz. Normally there isn't anything on this street, just some broken down buildings and warehouses, but on that evening there where a lot of luxury cars like Audi's , dubbed up SUV's, I think there was even a porche.

I honestly am not a fan of house music.. I just wanted to check out the place who was near another underground type bar.. my favorite..Saguijo. The place looks like embassy from the inside, disco lights and stuff, but my friend commented that she didnt like this kind of house music.. I being unable to descern the difference came to a conclusion that this is probably live mixes and underground house music.. just like the good old days of new wave where there where Fra Lippo Lippi New Wave and there was Psychidelic Furs new wave..sensha na ang loser ng comparison ko.. halata tuloy ang age ko. So I concluded and as the DJ kept on blurting out that night "The rebirth of the underground!"... I was listening to Underground form of House. Anyway I would recommend that you go on friday as ladies gets in for free, and going there at 1230am is too early. We left at around 1am and people was just starting to arrive, there was a line of luxury cars starting to form on the road.

So Yakal and Guijo are the new homes of the underground with Warehouse 135 and Saguijo. Kinda fitting I would think.. those areas are dwarfed and hidden by the shadows of the buildings in Ayala.. areas that are obscured by the bling of the financial district yet still thriving on they're own.
