The Transformers - Those who didnt make it

Ok, I really liked the transformers movie ,one is for sentimental reasons as I was a real big fan when they first came out and I would watch them on Channel 9(tama ba?) , I spent most of my allowance then saving to buy one , naghati pa kami ng brother ko to buy Mirage as he was the only one we could afford, mga rich kid langa ng pwede bumili nung malalaking robots non or kung ang daddy nila eh nagtratrabaho abroad. Anyway that was why I loved the new movie as I think it did the story justice, plus overall the movie was very entertaining.. there was a lot of inyour face action, comedy and great visual effects parang Independence day. As we know the transformers copies the form of the inhabitants or machines of the planet they land in as the movie went.. Pero.. I would like to tell the story of the other transformers who landed dito sa pinas pero di nasama sa movie..this is their story...

1. 2KBot - yung transformer na lumanding sa may simbahan area, sadly ang nascan nya na entity e kakanin. So nung nagtransform sya eh nagi lang sya na kutsinta.. too lame for the movie.

2. Banawetron - Tong transformer na to eh until now in recovery, he landed in quezon city sa banawe area, tranformed into this really cool Honda Civic..kaso fell asleep after he transformed , paggising nya he was shouting in pain dahil nanakaw ang sidemirror , mags at ibat ibang parts nya , pati gas nahigop. Parang yung story ng mga tourist na nakatulog tapos paggising wala ng kidney.. Til now under medication pa rin si Banawetron .

3. Transformer -X1 - this unnamed transformer died before being named, he landed sa may UP area , transformed into this L300 van then proceeded to roll out , everything was kaso sa Commonwealth sya dumaan, ayun naaksidente agad and got hit by a truck na tumalon sa center isle.

4. Saraobot - Landed sa province and transformed into a jeepney. Until now ayaw sya palayain ng driver na nakahuli sa kanya and pinampapasada pa rin sya. He cries every night.

5. chopper - Landed sa villamor airforce base and transformed into Huey Helicopter.. Sadly yung vietnam era huey choppers natin ang nacopy nya.. he crashed a few days after din.

6. Jackpad - Landed sa May public market and copied a dipadyak na tricycle. di na nakasama kasi ang loser.. nagrollout ayon ang bagal.. until now on the way pa lang rin.

7. Cavitecon - Landed in Cavite and copied a really cool owner type stainless jeep, until now di makajoin kasi di makapasok na manila para makapunta sa airport..bawal ang owner type na sa manila.

8. cellbot - landed sa greenhills area..he transformed into a cellphone, kaso got stolen then got reconditioned .. he has not functioned ever since.

9. Dildoid - Landed in a sexshop, transformed into a dildo.. last we heard he was used by the beautiful model who bought him andhas not transformed back eversince.. nagenjoy ata ang hayop.

10. Trashoid - Fell into Payatas, pagkabagsak pa lang pinagparte parte na ng mga scavengers.. DOA.

11. Salonoid - Landed in to a parlor.. became a hairblower.. and enjoyed the Parlor life and found his true self..he has denounced the Autobots and has started his own group.. the Autobads.

Tito Vic ang Joey

I bought a friend of mine a TVJ t-shirt as a despedida gift a few days ago. The T-Shirt had the SGT Pepe album cover printed ont it. It was pretty cool. I also have a TVJ shirt where in they were all in Straight Jackets , I wore it at saguijo one time and some guys would just blurt out.. "Uy pare cool shirt" pero most girls wouldn't notice the shirt . Siguro its one of those things you see on FHM, wherein they would ask girls questions where in most of the true blue husky male population would be able to answer but most of the women would have no clue. So What am I pointing at? Tito(pre political career) Vic and Joey are considered Male Icons.

Palagay ko nagshift na ang paradigm talaga, nung 80's sino ang mga icon or idols.. si Arnold, si Sly, si daboy, si FPJ, yun ang mga idols dati. Lets take out sports idols , kasi the category for them I think hasn't changed.

Ill do Tito Vic and Joey first, why they are still considered Idols and Icons til now, kasi most of the guys I named above are considered has beens except for arnold and FPJ. Well for starters they were rebels before, they were funny, most guys grew up with their jokes and their brand of kulitan. Plus ang pinaka importante eh di sila pretty boy.. so bihira mo sila makitahan ng yabang factor. I mean, If you ask a guy kung idol nya si Richard Gomez or si Vic Sotto.. mas malaki chance si Vic Sotto. This also tie's up with my Cute and Witty theory a few months back. Yup they were not pretty boys, they got in trouble , they were green, they were funny and they partly responsible for reinventing or scuplting the current Manila Culture. I think thats why they are considered Icons, they were the true blue artists who kept reinventing themselves , tapos kaya pa rin nila mag influence or dictate what new stuff is cool.. yun ang cool.

So, ano yung change of paradigm? well for one thing hindi na uso ang hollywood action star and pinoy action star.. they are not idolized anymore, gone are the days that a name can sell a movie. Thank Goodness for that , specially in the local scene. I think that brought about the almost demise of the local industry , when the movie industry itself failed to admit that names dont always sell a movie, its having a good movie itself that makes it sell. In hollywood, actors are now considered as actors, they move from comedy to horror to drama to action. Mas matured na ang mga viewers. So kung ako sino sapalagay ko ang cool actors? Si Pen at Ping Medina,Ricky Davao, Albert Martinez, Michael DeMesa, Jay Manalo, Bembol Roco, Epi Quizon, Eddie Garcia etong mga to I think theyre cool kasi magaling sila sa field nila, talagang kahit anong role maparapist mapabakla pinoportray nila ng performance level. I'm not that versed so malamang marami pang actors na magaling, pero the good part of it is that hindi na kagaya ng dati na magsuot lang ng leather jacket eh good actor na.

The Voice of Love

Napansin nyo ba sa radyo, kapag me binabasang love letter, palaging meron distinctive tone or style to do it. Parang super serious, heartfelt , at makadurog puso tuloy ang sulat. Yung techinique na mabagal babasahin , tapos medyo low tone ang voice ,with longer than usual pause with super soft voice.. mala Joe the Mango ba. Siguro kahit ganito ang sulat "Dear Kamote, hayup ka, magbayad ka na ng utang mo , ibalik mo ang binili mong gourmet tuyo! hindi kita malilimutan!" tapos babasahin ni Joe the mango ng kanyang trademark soft voice with pauses and accent eh parang maiyak iyak ka habang pinakikinggan mo eh. Wala lang napansin ko lang.

Pinoy Super Heroes

Just met with a possible client for a wedding shoot here at Starbucks Intramuros. Intramuros, Rizal and other heroes used to walk and study in this place. Cool dito sa starbucks dito, its practically a hole in the wall. Malay natin baka noong araw eh cage or tambayan to ng mga students of intramuros and some of our national heroes have socialized or stepped on the very place Im sitting.

I wonder if I was to invent some super heroes , who would I make? Tipong Pinoy Justice League.

I would call their group, ..hmm ano nga kaya.. Tropang Super?, SUTODA (Super Tricycle Operators and Drivers Associaion)? ano nga kaya magandang pangalan. Lets do this scientifically..what are the current mainstream market acepted names? X-Men , Superfriends, Avengers, Justice League...so pag pinas ... EX Men ..panget parang bading, Best Friends ..parang ano ngayon?...Super berks... hmmm parang pwede tapos teeny bopper ang dating.. Juztice League para parang spoof ang dating.. o kaya imbes na avengers, revengers..spoof nanaman. OK super berks na lang para parang teen idols ang dating. SUPER BERKS, basta hero sweet lover. Syet ang ganda.

Now the nitty gritty, who would be the heroes...Ano ba ang truly pinoy at sikat...

1. Buko Pie Man! - Matapos matamaan ng asteroid ang isang buko sa Batangas, bumagsak ito kay Tonio at tuwing nilululon nya ang buko nagigi syang Buko pie man! Bakit Buko Pie Man at hindi cocounut man or Buko man? Kasi favorite nya ang buko pie yun lang ang reason walang pakialamanan. Tapos minsan lang sya maging Buko Pie Man, pili lang ang instances na nagtratransform sya. Bakit kamo pili lang? Eh kasi naman hellooo, isang buko kaya lulunin nya..mahirap yon no. Ang weakness nya ..hipon. Bakit hipon? kasi bata pa lang sya allergic sya don, mamamantal sya pag nakakain sya ng hipon. I mean , have you tried eating something your allergic too? Ang hirap no!

2. Barker Man! - FX Barker by Day, Bus Barker by night. Yun na, mahirap kasi buhay kaya halos 24x7 sya nag babarker, saka pag gabi bihira ang fx unless sa cubao sya nag barker. Ok ok, lets give him super powers, one night meron engakantado na walang masakyan, kailangan umuwi sa banahaw, bigla nyang pinasingit yung matandang engkantado kaya pinabiyayaan sya ng super powers. Kaya nyang i modulate ang boses nya mala banshee ng Xmen.. CUBAAAOOOO!!!! BUENDIAAAAA!!!! and mabibingi ang masasamang elemento. Ang weakness nya, malat. Tsaka ulan at mahamugan kasi mamamalat sya. Minsan Malamig na tubig bawal rin.

3. Jobillee - parang si Jubillee ng Xmen but with a twist, he got his power from eating a radioactive hamburger sa Jollibee, makakagawa rin sya ng parang fireworks gaua ni Jubillee kaso mostly sumasabog na fireworks kasi mahal ang colorful. Ang weakness nya eh hindi sya pwede dorung december kasi marami syang gig sa mga mall.

4. Bat Mang - prang Mang Bat kaso binaliktad nya kasi favorite nya si Batman. Actually Manananggal sya , pero para hip tsaka after nya ma renew ang interest sa batman because of Batman Begins, nagi syang Bat Mang, and naging mabait sya. noong nag Batman 4 kasi naasar sya. Weakness? Syempre yun dati pa rin, asin, palaspas, tsaka madali syang mapikon pag sinasabi na ang manananggal eh babae. Meron rin namang lalakin gmanananggal parang lalaking nurse at stewardess.

5. GRO Girl! - She's 21, sexy with pleasing personality na sexy manamit at parang nakikiflirt sa mga heroes. Wala syang super power, pero kasama sya lagi ng Super Berks kasi nga maganda at sexy sya, para lagi silang looking forward sa mga meeting kasi andon si GRO Girl. Weakness, wala naman basta cute and witty, weakness nya.

6. Wonder Guro! - 35 Year old , Single Woman na mataray. As in Mataray, yon actually ang power nya, nasubukan mo na ba masungitan ng babaeng kamukha ng teacher mo nung bata ka, parang nakakapang hina, parang it hits you deep down in your psyche to your childhood memories tapos matatakot ka na lang. Meron rin syang pamalo just incase. Ang weakness nya, Regine Velazquez CD's

7. Dr. Driver! - Dati syang Taxi Driver, kaso natanggal sya trabaho kasi nagsara yung company, so lumipat sya bilang driver ng isang doktor, hence his name Dr. Driver. Ok medyo lame ang story nya so bigyan natin sya ng powers. Nakuha nya yung Magic Golden Manibela don sa isang Tito Vic and Joey Movie (ano nga ba title non?) which gives whatever he drives unvelievable speed and accuracy and maneuverability. Sya ang designated driver palagi ng Super Van. His weakness?..Traffic tsaka mahirap na parking, madalas intay sya sa sasakyan lalo na pag me trobol sa mall of asia at greenhills.

8. Party Girl! - Si Party Girl ay galing sa mga anak ni Mariang Makiling, Diwata sya with magical Powers. Her weakness nga lang is mahilig syang gumimik so madalas puyat sya. Maasahan lang sya sa trobol kapang hapon na, pag gabi kasi me gimik nanaman sya.

9. Dyeseanne - Pinsan ni Dyesebel, wala sya gaano powers kasi lalangoy langoy lang sya pero gaya ni GRO Girl, favorite sya ng mga heroes kasi topless sya pag lumalangoy. Malaking weakness nga lang nya gaya ni aquaman eh, pag nasa lupa ang kalaban, wala syang maitutulong, kunwari sa Pampangga or Quezon City or Baguio, malayo sa dagat.


To add also, si Dr. Driver ang nakaisip ng motto ng group na basta hero sweet lover. So wiitty that guy by golly.
